The Web machine

It just goes to show how putting your application FreshMeat can really help (or it might have been GnomeFiles, I don’t have a way to tell). Almost as soon as it went online it was picked up and added to both the LinuxLinks and Softpedia software databases. The gears of the Web turning as always.

I’m pretty impressed, both by the speed of the software databases and the effect that just a small amount of effort can have. It also makes me a little nervous, given that  Functy is in no way a finished product. I might even have to start trying to fix some bugs!

Functy on freshmeat and GnomeFiles

After a surprising amount of effort (by my lazy standards, at least), Functy now has a presence on both freshmeat and GnomeFiles.

Even if you’re not impressed by the program, please do leave ratings, comments and so on so that I know how it needs to be improved.

Are there any other sites like these that Functy could have a home on? If so, do let me know.
